A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court and Newport Magistrates’ Court.

IAN MURPHY, 49, of Elm Grove Lane, Dinas Powys, was banned from driving for six months for speeding at 74mph in a 60mph zone on the M4 in Newport.

He was also ordered to pay £342 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

RHYS HOOPER, 36, of Castle Drive, Dinas Powys, was ordered to pay £169 in a fine, compensation, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage at the Copthorne Hotel.

MALCOLM RONALD HADLEY, 84, of Redlands Avenue, Penarth, was ordered to pay £217 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone.

His licence was endorsed with three points.

PETER CHRISTOPHER RYAN, 28, of Redlands Avenue, Penarth, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

HUW CENNYDD BUNFORD, 53, of Salop Street, Penarth, was ordered to pay £263 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 60mph in a 50mph zone.

His licence was endorsed with three points.

CAROLYN HARRISON, 56, of Cog Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £337 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 27mph in a 20mph zone.

Her licence was endorsed with three points.

JOHN DONELON, 40, of Lewis Road, Llandough, was ordered to pay £283 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding.
