A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

SOPHIE ANN VOWLES, 28, of Drylla, Dinas Powys, was banned from driving for 15 months after she pleaded guilty to drink-driving.

She was also ordered to pay £359 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ALAN DAVID CARTER, 45, of Sir Ivor Place, Dinas Powys, was jailed for six months, suspended for 12 months, after he pleaded guilty to possession of a Stanley knife and a lock knife.

He was ordered complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Carter must also pay £572 in costs and a surcharge.

CALLUM PETTY, 31, of Clos y Cadno, Penarth, was ordered to pay £297 in fines, costs and a surcharge after he admitted two counts of racially aggravated harassment.

MARTIN CHARLES FLOREY, 28, of St Joseph's Mews, Penarth, was ordered to pay £269 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted driving without due care and attention.

His licence was endorsed with five penalty points.

CAROLYN HARRISON, 56, of Cog Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £232 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 27mph in a 20mph on Barry’s Butrills Road.

Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

LLOYD WILLIAM CLARKE, 33, of Lavernock Road, Penarth, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he drove through a red light on Newport Road in Cardiff.

His driving record was endorsed with three points.

STONEHOUSE MIRUVO MUGALAVAI, 48, of South Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving licence was also endorsed with six points.
