A BARRY man has been given an anti-social behaviour injunction that has prevented him from visiting nearby Dinas Powys.

Michael Cross, of Riverside Place, Barry has received the injunction due to anti-social behaviour in the Caerleon Road area of Dinas Powys after he had subjected residents to threatening behaviour and using quad bikes and motorbikes in an anti-social way. He was warned about the behaviour but continued and was issues the injunction by Cardiff County Court on October 22.

The year-long injunction bans Mr Cross from entering or attempting to enter the Caerphilly Close, Caerwent Close, Rhuddlan Way, Caerleon Road, Criccieth Court and Caerwent Gardens areas of Dinas Powys. He is also banned from approaching, threatening, intimidating or physically harming anyone who lives in the previously mentioned areas, which includes families, friends or visitors and applies if they are in the area or not.

The injunction was granted to United Welsh who were working in partnership with South Wales Police and Vale of Glamorgan Council. Mr Cross did not attend a follow-up hearing to discuss the injunction that was set for October 28 and he faces a fine or prison if the injunction is breached.
