SHOPPERS began queuing early to bag their way into the new B&M store in the Barry Waterfront Retail Park on Saturday, November 21.

Customers arrived before 7.30am to see representatives from charity Mind In the Vale cut the ribbon to officially open the store, and its garden centre, at 9am.

The shop has provided employment for more than 70 people with it hoping to recruit more.

Project manager, James Williamson, who is in charge of B&M new store development, said: “It's been a busy few days.

“The store team have done a fantastic job in delivering a fab store.

“The shops is finally open!

"And I must say it looks fantastic.

“Shoppers were queuing from 7.30am outside and there were lots of happy faces."

Customers can expect a wide range of products - from grocery, to electrical, furniture and DIY.

There is also a seasonal range and products are at reasonable prices.

Normal opening hours will be Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
