PENARTH'S Cancer Research UK Committee will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year.
During the 60 years the committee has raised, with the support of the people of Penarth and surrounding areas, the sum of £251,000.
Organising events this year to mark the landmark is a challenge, but the group are working on several ideas for later in the year - details will be advertised nearer the time.
Three members of the committee, Alison Caldwell, Liz Roberts and Karen Sealey, have signed up to take part in 'Walk all over Cancer' during March.
