SOUTH Wales Police will be carrying out checks on vehicles in the Vale of Glamorgan this weekend.
The checks will be taking place using additional powers granted to the force to support the Welsh Government's restrictions.
They will be carrying out stop-checks on vehicles out and about in the area as well as in Swansea and Cardiff and issuing fines where appropriate.

In line with the Welsh Government's stay at home message and restrictions, travel should only be taking place for essential reasons.
Anyone travelling without a reasonable excuse is likely to face a penalty.
