A ROUND-UP of speeding cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates Court in the past three months.

Richard Chesterman, 57, of Church Road, Cowbridge, was fined £576 for driving 53 mph on a 30 mph road – B4365 St Brides Road.

He was also ordered to pay a £57 surcharge.

Michael Taylor, 50, of Rhodfa’r Gwagenni, Barry, was fined £100 for driving 35 mph on a 30 mph road – an unnamed road between School Fferm Goch.

The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Rhys Benjamin Loveless, 30, of Trinity Street, Barry, was fined £100 for driving 42 mph on a 30mph road – A48, St Nicholas.

Helen Catherine Grandin, 45, of Heritage View, Llantwit Major, was fined £40 for driving 36 mph on a 30 mph road – Wick Road, Ewenny.

She was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.

Elaine Mills, 57, of Sutton Road, Llandow, was fined £100 for driving 35 mph on a 30 mph road – A4222 Cowbridge Road, Brynsadler.

Nathan Patrick McKernan, 36, of Aeron Close, Barry, was fined £220 for driving 39 mph on a 30 mph road – Cowbridge Road, St Athan near Bringle Lane.

He was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.

Joanne Donna James, 50, of Fairfield Close, Llantwit Major, was fined £80 for driving 41 mph on a 30 mph road – A48, St Nicholas.

She was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.

Maya Rose Mercer-Bell, 22, of Eurgan Close, Llantwit Major, was fined £193 for driving 53 mph on a 30 mph road – A48, St Nicholas.

She was also ordered to pay a £34 surcharge.
