Penarth man punished in court for £70 chocolate theft at town newsagents
A PENARTH man has been charged with thefts in the town and Dinas Powys.
Lee Gareth Lawday, 39, stole £75 worth of chocolate from Martin the Newsagent LTD, in Penarth, and £30 worth of cleaning products from a Tesco Express in Dinas Powys.
He plead guilty to both charges at Cardiff Magistrates Court.
As punishment the defendant must be under a curfew for six weeks with electronic monitoring, pay £105 in compensation, £95 victim surcharge, and costs of £85 - in total £285.
