A WEATHER warning has been issued for the Vale of Glamorgan as the heatwave gives way to thundery downpours this weekend.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning as today's hot weather starts to cool and heavy rain, sometimes thundery, starts to roll in overnight.
On Saturday, heavy blustery rain is forecast, with some breaks and sunny spells. The temperature will reach 21 degrees and feel much cooler. Into the afternoon, heavy rain and thunder will return.
On Sunday the forecast looks much the same, with the day starting with thunder showers followed by a period or dry, sunny spells. More showers develop in the afternoon. Temperatures reach 22 degrees.
The Met Office say: "Further thundery showers possible Monday and Tuesday, with more widespread downpours on Tuesday."
