THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the Vale of Glamorgan as Storm Evert hits coastal areas with gales and rain.
Tonight, cloud spreads across the region bringing windy coastal gales in the south. Temperatures will be 9 degrees.
England will be hardest hit by Storm Evert where an amber wind warning has been issued for Cornwall, as well as the Isles of Scilly, with yellow warnings remaining in place for the wider southwest, southern Wales and along the southern coast of England.

As the storm moves west this evening the highest winds are expected to be over parts of Cornwall during the early hours of Friday, when gusts could reach as high as 75mph in the most exposed areas.
The Met Office Said: "Other coastal areas in southern parts of England and Wales will also see high gusts, mainly between 40 and 60mph, and this brings with it the chance for some travel disruption and damage to temporary structures."
In the Vale tomorrow it will be a breezy start with scattered showers through the morning. Temperatures will reach 20 degrees with sunny spells and showers in the afternoon.
