THREE people from Penarth have appeared in court charged with speeding offences.

Neil Martin Bodmer, 48 of Heol Tre Forys, Penarth, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on October 8 and pleaded guilty to speeding.

It related to an offence on August 8 last year when he was caught doing 50mph on the A4119 Mwyndy Cross – a 40mph zone.

He was fined £154 and given three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Chandler Chick, 22, of St Pauls Avenue, Penarth, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on October 19 where he was found guilty of speeding.

It related to an offence on April 20 when he was caught doing 38mph on North Road – a 30mph zone.

He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Louise Scott, 45, of Glebe Street, Penarth, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates Court on October 19 where she was found guilty of speeding.

It related to an offence on April 19 when she was caught doing 35mph on A48 St Nicholas – a 30mph zone.

She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She was also ordered to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
