FIREWORKS fiesta returns to Penarth after being put on hold last year due to the pandemic.

The annual fireworks fiesta, hosted by Penarth RFC and Penarth Athletic Club, will return to Penarth Athletic Ground, on Lavernock Road, on Friday November 5.

Gates are opening at 6pm with the show, provided by Pendragon Fireworks and Pyrotechnics, starting at 7.30pm.

There will be food on offer from The Artisan Cook and The Crepe Escape, plus burgers and hotdogs from the rugby club, and drinks and refreshments from the athletic club.

Entry fee on the gate is cash only, at £5 for adults and £3 for children under the age of 16.

People attending the fiesta are asked to follow these guidelines:

  • Be aware of all relevant UK and Welsh Government advice and rules at the time of the event.
  • If possible, perform a lateral flow test prior to attending.
  • It is recommended that all adults bring masks and sanitising hand gels to the event and wear face masks where social distancing is not possible.
  • All four entrances to the ground will be open; please try to use them to avoid crowding at the main gate.
  • Once you have enjoyed the show and refreshments, please endeavour to leave the ground promptly.

For the avoidance of doubt:

  • You should not attend the event if you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days.
  • You should not attend the event if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 but are awaiting test appointment or test results.
  • It is recommended that you do not attend the event if you have had close contact in the previous 10 days with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19.
