THERE are more than 500 newly reported cases of Covid in the Vale of Glamorgan according to Public Health Wales.
Public Health Wales has updated their Covid statistics; as yesterday was a public holiday they did not update their statistics which means the last update was on Boxing Day (December 26).
According to Public Health Wales’ latest data there are 551 newly reported cases of Covid in the Vale of Glamorgan with 12,378 newly reported cases in their latest total (11,612 across Wales plus 766 residents outside Wales).
Public Health Wales has also reported three Covid-related deaths since their last data update on December 26 – but these did not occur in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
One of these deaths was within the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board which covers Gwent, one was within the Hywel Dda University Health Board which covers west Wales, and one was within Swansea Bay University Health Board.
This brings Public Health Wales’ death toll throughout the entire Covid pandemic to 6,551 which includes 894 in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
