THERE are almost 100 new cases of Covid in the Vale of Glamorgan, according to Public Health Wales.

The latest stats show that there are 93 confirmed cases in the Vale.

In Cardiff, there are 322 which once again means the capital has the most amount of new cases in Wales.

There are 2,768 new cases in Wales including residents outside of Wales.

One death has been recorded in the Cardiff and Vale area, putting the toll at 909.

A total of 6,752 people have died with Covid in Wales since the start of the pandemic, according to Public Health Wales.

The case rate for the Vale of Glamorgan is 69.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Cardiff's case rate (87.8) is only slightly higher than the average for Wales (85.7).
