THE latest data from Public Health Wales show that 11 more people have died from Covid in Wales.

This means that the total death toll for Wales is at 6,763 since the start of the pandemic.

None of the deaths were in the Cardiff and Vale area, with 909 deaths recorded in total in the area.

The Vale of Glamorgan recorded 85 new cases while Cardiff once again recorded the most amount of new cases in Wales with 285.

Wales has recorded 2,427 new cases including residents outside Wales.

The case rate in the Vale is lower than the average for Wales with the area recording 63.6 cases per 100,000 people.

Cardiff recorded a slightly higher case rate than the national average with 77.7.

The average case rate for Wales is 74.8
