THERE have been 46 new Covid cases reported in the Vale of Glamorgan, according to Public Health Wales.
Nearby Cardiff has had 186 new cases reported according to figure released today, which are correct as of Friday, February 18.
Wales had 1,114 new cases in total including residents from outside Wales.
The case rate for the Vale is a shade higher than the average for Wales, with 34.4 cases per 100,000 people.
The average for Wales is 33.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Cardiff has a much higher than average case rate with 50.7 - the highest in the country.
There has been one more death in Wales, taking the death toll to 6,944.
The new death was not in the Cardiff an Vale area, where there have been 918 deaths since the pandemic began.
