PUBLIC Health Wales have reported more than 60 new Covid cases in the Vale of Glamorgan over the past three days.

There were 64 cases over the past three days in the Vale and 222 in Cardiff.

In Wales, there have been 1,672 new cases reported including residents outside of Wales.

The number of cases over three days seems very low, though the recent events of Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin may have made it impossible for people to attend a PCR test.

However, cases have been falling so this should be factored in as well.

The case rate for the Vale is below the average for Wales, with 47.9 cases per 100,000 people.

The average for Wales is 51.5 cases per 100,000 people.

Cardiff has a higher case rate with 60.5, but it no longer has the higher rate in all of Wales.

12 more people have died, putting the death toll at 6,956.

None of the new deaths were in the Cardiff and Vale area.
