MORE than 4,000 new cases of Covid have been reported to Public Health Wales – including 210 in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The latest data from Public Health Wales shows 4,114 newly reported cases of Covid – 3,996 of which are in Wales, and 118 cases in residents outside Wales.

Of these newly reported cases 210 are in the Vale of Glamorgan and 485 are in Cardiff, according to Public Health Wales data.

Public Health Wales has also reported two new Covid-related deaths, bringing its death toll – throughout the entire Covid pandemic – to 7,050, which includes 926 in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB) and 20 residents outside Wales.

Neither of these newly reported deaths occurred in Cardiff and Vale UHB.

According to Public Health Wales there has been one Covid related death in the Aneurin Bevan UHB which covers Gwent, and one Covid related death in the Betsi Cadwaladr UHB which covers North Wales.
