PUBLIC Health Wales has reported seven Covid-related deaths in a 72-hour period.

The latest Covid data from Public Health Wales, which reflects a 72-hour period up to 9am on Monday (April 4) has been published.

According to Public Health Wales there have been seven Covid-related deaths in Wales, but none of these occurred within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB).

Three deaths occurred in Betsi Cadwaladr UHB, two in Swansea Bay UHB, one in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB, and one in Hywel Dda UHB according to Public Health Wales.

Public Health Wales’ death toll – throughout the entire Covid pandemic – now stands at 7,186 which includes 935 in Cardiff and Vale UHB and 21 residents outside Wales.

The latest data from Public Health Wales also includes 1,767 newly reported cases in Wales, along with 67 for residents outside Wales, totalling to 1,834 new cases of the virus.

According to Public Health Wales, 65 newly reported cases of Covid are within the Vale of Glamorgan and 233 are within Cardiff.
