THERE are 393 newly reported cases of Covid in Wales – according to Public Health Wales.

Public Health Wales has reported the latest Covid data, which reflects a 24-hour period up to 9am on Thursday April 7.

This includes 404 new Covid cases, including 11 residents outside Wales, and five Covid-related deaths.

None of these newly reported deaths occurred in the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB).

According to Public Health Wales there has been two Covid-related deaths in Betsi Cadwaladr UHB, two in Hywel Dda UHB, and one in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB.

This brings Public Health Wales’ coronavirus death toll – throughout the entire pandemic – to 7,212 which includes 937 in Cardiff and the Vale UHB and 21 residents outside of Wales.

The Covid data from Public Health Wales also includes 13 newly reported cases of the virus in the Vale of Glamorgan and 45 in Cardiff.
