FAMED vocalist Kiki Dee will be performing at Penarth Pier Pavilion on Friday, May 6.

Ms Dee is perhaps most well known for her links to global superstar Elton John and has also supported rock legends Queen and performed at Live Aid in 1985.

She will be performing an acoustic show with her musical partner Carmelo Luggeri.

Ms Dee and Mr Luggeri have been working together for 28 years, and the show on Friday is sold out.

The two hour show will include a mix of covers of songs from artists such as Kate Bush and Frank Sinatra and some of Ms Dee's and Mr Luggeri's own music from their new album A Place Where I Can Go.

Ms Dee will also perform the song she was most famous for featuring on, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.

According to Ms Dee, this will be her first time performing in Penarth.

When asked why she and Mr Luggeri decided to come to Penarth, Ms Dee said: "It's all a matter of just choosing venues we think will work for us.

"It's all really about having a good connection with the audience."

On the show, Ms Dee said: "It's a very eclectic show, and we do the old hits, but we also do a lot of new music as well - it's very intimate and lots of fun.

"I'm really looking forward to it."

Although the show is sold out, Penarth Pier Pavilion will be running a reserve list in case of any last minute cancellations.

Tickets cost £23.95 plus a booking fee.

The show begins at 7.30pm and doors open at 7pm.
