THERE are 124 newly reported Covid cases and five Covid-related deaths in Wales according to Public Health Wales.

The latest coronavirus data from Public Health Wales – which reflects a 24-hour period – includes 124 newly reported cases of Covid, plus five in residents outside Wales.

One new case has been identified in the Vale of Glamorgan and 15 have been reported in Cardiff.

Public Health Wales data also reports six Covid-related deaths (including one resident outside Wales) but none of these occurred within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB).

Four of these deaths were within Betsi Cadwaladr UHB and one was in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB according to Public Health Wales.

This brings Public Health Wales’ death toll – throughout the entire coronavirus pandemic – to 7,405 which includes 951 within Cardiff and Vale UHB and 22 residents outside Wales.
