A ROUND-UP of the latest Penarth residents who ended up in court recently.

Mary O'Connor, 31, of Arcot Street was caught speeding.

On February 6, 2022, O'Connor drove at 36mph on North Road in Cardiff which has a 30mph limit in place.

O'Connor's guilt was proved via the Single Justice Procedure and she was fined £220.

She was also ordered to pay costs of £90 and to pay a victim services surcharge of £34.

Her driving record was endorsed with three points.

Gareth David Rees, 39, of Coed y Ffyffon in Dinas Powys was fined for failing to give information relating the identity of the driver of a vehicle suspected of an offence.

Rees was fined £660 after failing to give the required information on February 18, 2022.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

He was also fined £660 for the same offence on February 3 with his driving record endorsed with six points.

Rees was also sentenced for an identical offence on February 15.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £110.

He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £134 and was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months due to repeat offending.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

Joshua Cheeseman, 22, of St David's Crescent, was fined for speeding.

Cheeseman pleaded guilty to driving a motorcycle at 54mph in a 30mph zone, namely Cardiff Road on April 10, 2022.

He was fined £200 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34.

He also had his driving record endorsed with six points.

Daniel Rhys Palmer, 36, of Bradford Place was sentenced for criminal damage.

Palmer caused £627 worth of damage to a car belong to Sally Livesy Davies on February 22, 2022.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £100 as well as being ordered to pay £627 in compensation.

He was also ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £250 in costs.
