THE deadline for community groups in the Vale to apply for the Mayor’s Foundation Grant Fund is approaching.
Groups can apply for grants of between £100 and £250 to help support the work of voluntary and charitable organisations within the Vale of Glamorgan.
Applications are encouraged from those with initiative which support the council’s vision of “strong communities with a bright future.”
The deadline for this round of funding is Thursday, September 1.
In the past the Grant Fund has been awarded to organisations including:
- Cylch Meithrin;
- Rhoose Guides;
- Penmark Village Hall;
- Vale Surf Club.
Mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan, Cllr Susan Lloyd-Selby, said:
"The past two years have been very challenging for everybody.
“Community groups, voluntary and charitable organisations have become more important and been working harder than ever.
“The last round of applications for the fund were hugely successful and I would therefore like to encourage all who are eligible to apply for a share of the fund to help support and enhance their invaluable work.”
