A SERIES of festive events will be held at Penarth Pier Pavilion in the lead-up to Christmas.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has organised a fun filled schedule of festive events on the Penarth Pier pavilion from Wednesday, November 30.

The schedule includes Christmas Wreath making workshops, art history talks, festive brunch and afternoon tea Polar Express screenings, a festive art demonstration, and a Christmas cabaret evening.

The festive events cater for all ages and interests. Alongside the series of events the pavilion is hosting a free open day on Saturday, December 10.

The day will be an opportunity to explore the iconic venue and find out about the exciting events planned for 2023.

Cllr Rhiannon Birch, cabinet member for education arts, and the Welsh language said: “This year’s festive schedule looks wonderful, and I am sure it will be enjoyed by many.

“After an extensive programme of work to restore the much-loved building, its always great to see the doors of the pavilion open to the community.

“The open day will be a fantastic opportunity to embrace the Christmas spirit in a beautiful venue.”

The festivities will begin at 11am with Carol singing with Penarth Salvation Army Band, followed by mince pies and music inside the pavilion.
