A VAN overturned following a collision on a busy road in the Vale this morning.

The incident, which involved a van and a car, happened at just before 10am at Waycock Cross roundabout.

Police say an ambulance attended, but there were no serious injuries reported.

Where did the crash happen?

The crash took place on the busy Waycock Cross roundabout which links Caridff Airport and Barry along the A4226.

The roundabout is also a cross roads between Barry to the South and Dyffryn to the North.

'The van overturned following the collision': Police

A South Wales Police spokesperson confirmed a van did overturn in the incident.

The spokesperson said: “At 9:50am this morning, Monday July 3, police were called to two vehicle road traffic collision, involving a car and a van at Waycock Cross roundabout in Barry.

“The van overturned following the collision. An ambulance did attend but there were no reported serious injuries.”

'Emergency ambulance at the scene': Welsh Ambulance Service

The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they were at the scene of an incident where a van overturned in a crash earlier today. 

The service did not require to convey anyone to hospital.

A spokesperson said: “We were called today, Monday July 3, at approximately 9.53am, to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a van at Waycock Cross roundabout in Barry.

"We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, but we were not required to convey any patients to hospital.”
