AUTUMN is upon us and as the leaves from trees start to fall the darker evenings have settled in and Hallowe'en is on its way.
As the first half-term break is six weeks away, we have compiled a list of the top five spooky activities to do across the Vale of Glamorgan.
Barry Island Dark Run
The Ty Hafan Children's Hospice is bringing a 2.5km fun run to Barry Island on October 13
People are encouraged to dress up, as organisers have a spooky surprise when passing the multicoloured beach huts.
The run will take place at 18.30pm and is expected to last four hours and 15 minutes with tickets priced from £6.
Fonmon Castle - Fonmon
The castle is hosting two Hallowe'en at Fonmon events on October 14 - October 31 one for toddlers and children.
The daytime event is from 10am - 3pm and includes playgrounds, dinosaurs and costume staff priced at £12 for adults, £10 for children, and disabled and concessions while those under three go free.
There is a nighttime scare trail from 5pm until 9.30pm for those wanting a good scare for ages 16 and over, under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are priced at £14.50
Llancaiach Fawr Manor - Nelson
This historic venue is hosting witch trials at the manor from October 31 to November 3.
You will be part of a jury that decides the fate of the accused as the defendant is brought to court.
Trails are timed at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and will be incorporated into the normal tour of the manor.
Hallowe'en Fancy Dress Disco - Penarth
The Penarth Pavilion will be throwing a Hallowe'en disco for children to enjoy on October 31.
The event will include spooky tunes, party games, a soft drink and a cupcake with a prize for the best Hallow'een costume.
Tickets are priced at £9.50 per child with the event taking place between 2pm and 4pm.
Hallowe'en special at St Donats Castle - Llantwit Major
The castle at Atlantic College will be hosting a Hallowe'en tour and scream tea event on Sunday, October 29.
The tour through the castle will be 90 minutes, followed by a spooktacular scream tea.
The first tour will run from 9.30am - 11am followed by a cream tea, while the second tour starts at 10.30am - 12pm followed by the cream tea. Tickets are priced at £19.43
