CHRISTMAS is coming - and it'll be lighting up Penarth in style next month.

Penarth Town Council has announced the town's Christmas lights will be switched on on Sunday, November 19, to kick off the festive season.

It will be part of a day of fun, starting at 3pm and running until 7pm, with plenty of entertainment provided.

There will be a day of festive fun across the town centre, with music, fairground rides and games to complete the light switch-on.

Festive stalls, crafts and food and drink stalls will also be available.

Also on the day there will the little concerts – stringtastic concert at the Penarth pier pavilion with two showings of the concert.

The first starts at 2pm, with a a second show at 4pm.
