A Penarth Primary School brought Christmas Joy to a high street business on their last day of school.

Pupils from Cogan Primary School and Fairfield Primary School sang Christmas carols to shoppers inside Coffee 1 on Windsor Road to bring some Christmas spirit to town.

Staff at Coffee 1 wore Christmas jumpers and joined in with the children before providing them with hot chocolate and chocolate cake.

Georgie Hutton, general manager at Coffee 1 in Penarth, said: “Our regular customer Sharron praised how well they sang, and the atmosphere was amazing.

“The store was super busy with customers watching the children as well as their family members.

“It was the children’s last day at school and coming to Coffee 1 to sing did help raise the Christmas spirit for them, the teachers, family, and my staff."

This year was the second time that Cogan Primary School hosted a special event at Coffee 1 to support the business.

She added: “Penarth Coffee 1 is a main hub for the community. We provide a weekly walk and talk and love to get the community involved in anything that we do.

"I would also like to thank both schools for supporting me and Coffee1 for the second year running by raising money for our charity which is the Maybe charity.”
