A charity event has raised £26,000 for LATCH Welsh Children's Cancer Charity.
The money was collected at the annual Charity Golf Day on July 12, hosted by Penarth-based ambassadors Phill Parker and Phil Harper at The Glamorganshire Golf Club.
The charity supports children receiving treatment for cancer and leukaemia at the Children's Hospital for Wales and their families.
A total of 160 participants split into 40 teams of male and female golfers took part in the 10th successive event.
The friendly yet competitive contest followed a Texas Scramble format and included various prizes.
Glamorganshire club members Peter Wood, Nigel Day, James Wood, and Paul Reid took the overall win with a score of 52.
Mr Parker, a LATCH voluntary ambassador, said: "LATCH is very close to my own heart.
"The fact that we raised so much money is testament to the community spirit that is so strong in Penarth as well as in the golfing world.
"Along with the LATCH team, Phil and I would like to thank everyone who entered on the day and also to the volunteers who worked tirelessly to make it such a huge success."
Julia Baker, president of Glamorganshire Golf Club, said: "The LATCH Charity Golf Day is a proud tradition in the golf club’s history.
"Everyone at the club knows how much time and effort they put into the LATCH event, and it is an absolute honour to be able to help support such a vital local charity for all these years."
Mr Parker and Mr Harper have organised the event since 2016.
LATCH has always received a lot of support from Glamorganshire Golf Club members and teams from other clubs.
The LATCH online store is another way to lend support to the charity.
