A bowls club in Penarth had a successful bank holiday open day.
Despite initial fears of bad weather, bank holiday Monday brought sunshine, attracting a crowd to Penarth Belle Vue Bowling Club.
The club, situated in north Penarth, welcomed visitors and potential members.
Festivities included activities for kids and a spread of cakes.
Members donned their new green kits, courtesy of a sponsor.
Councillor Anthony Ernest attended the event, praising the club for its vibrant community spirit, and expressed optimism for the 2025 season.
He acknowledged the club's recent hardships but admired their resilience.
With the sun shining on the well-kept rink, club members felt the day went smoothly and believed the event garnered significant publicity for the club.
