Welsh singer-songwriter Laura Evans has announced the release of her second album.

The follow-up to her 2022 breakthrough record State of Mind, which garnered more than three million streams and praise from BBC Radio 2’s Cerys Matthews, will be released on October 24.

Out of the Dark marks a new chapter for the rising star, who has received strong support from BBC Radio 2.

Produced and co-written with Ian Barter, whose credits include Paloma Faith and Amy Winehouse, the album blends pop melodies, blues influences, and heartfelt storytelling.

Ms Evans said: "I poured my heart and soul into this album.

"There are big pop chorus’ introspective bluesy ballads, a southern rock edge and even a dreamy interlude.

"I worked with some amazing co-writers on this album who really pushed me both with my writing and vocals and I feel these are some of my best songs to date."

The opening track, Wherever You Are, has already received regular airplay on BBC Radio 2 and features on editorial playlists across Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.

To support the release, Ms Evans will embark on her biggest UK headline tour yet in November, performing in Cardiff and venues across the country.

The tour begins in Cardiff on November 6.
