Teenage boy dies suddenly in Penarth as community shocked

A teenage boy has died suddenly at a property in the Cogan area of Penarth, prompting a strong emergency services response and the closure of Pill Street on Thursday, 29th January.

South Wales Police confirmed the tragic incident, stating:

"South Wales Police can confirm the sudden death of a teenager at a property in Cogan on Thursday, January 29".

The force added that the family has requested privacy, and that there are no suspicious circumstances, with an investigation ongoing on behalf of HM Coroner. Police have not publicly confirmed the cause of death.

The sudden loss has left the community in shock.
