A round-up of recent cases heard before magistrates.

Jonathon Huxtable, 32, of Tennyson Road, Penarth must pay £168 in a fine and a surcharge after he admitted keeping a motor vehicle which did not meet insurance requirements.

Michael van der Veen, aged 41, of Penlan Road, Llandough was disqualified from driving for six months for speeding in a 30mph zone.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £264 surcharge.

Frankie Jenkins, of Beach Road, Penarth was fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £57.50 back duty for keeping a vehicle without a valid vehicle licence.
