A planning application has been submitted to the Vale of Glamorgan Council for a new driveway in Penarth.

The plans, related to a property on Redlands Road, detail a driveway intended for off-road parking.

The proposed area would be 5.2m wide by 7.6m long and would be laid with permeable tarmac, topped with a 20mm thick permeable resin-bound surface.

The application also outlines plans to install a weatherproof electric point with the potential for future car charging, and potentially an outside tap.

The driveway will primarily accommodate one vehicle, but the plans show it can park two cars diagonally.

In terms of green infrastructure, the application states that the shrubbed area and all trees, bushes, and shrubs to the left of the driveway will be preserved, while the existing hedgerow to the right will be trimmed back.
