A community group is hosting two events to celebrate all things apple.
Gwyrddio Penarth Greening (GPG) is inviting residents to join an evening with Welsh food and environment author Carwyn Graves on Thursday, October 8.
The event will take place at St Augustine's Hall at 6.30pm.
A spokesperson for the group said: "As a warm up to our Apple Day, we are hosting an evening talk with Welsh food and environment author and campaigner, Carwyn Graves.
"Join us for a fun and entertaining evening all about apples with the best-selling author of Apples of Wales, that's bound to leave you with food for thought (and possibly some apples on your palate)."
Tickets for the event are £3 and can be bought online.
The Apple Day event will be taking place on Saturday, October 10, from 2pm to 5pm at Belle Vue Park.
The spokesperson said: "Apple Day is back!
"Taking place in Belle Vue park this Saturday, October 10, it will be a fun and friendly event for the whole community to get together to celebrate locally-grown delicious fruit.

"There will be an apple press for people to juice their apples and taste delicious juice as fresh as fresh can be.
"There will also be lots of apple-based activities, crafts and games, community stalls, refreshments, a raffle and sweet treats."
Penarth Apple Day is a partnership between Penarth Civic Society, Gwyrddio Penarth Greening, Friends of the Kymin, Friends of Belle Vue, Friends of St Joseph's Park, Perllan Penarth, and Penarth Growing Community.
The spokesperson added: "We do hope you can join us to make this day a fabulous event for the whole community!
"Looking after our precious environment is more important than ever, so we want to inspire and involve as many people as possible in our community activities and efforts.
