ON THURSDAY, September 30, when I was coming out of the Penarth Leisure Centre at Cogan, I was approached by two members of the police doing a study.

They gave me a '£100' and asked me to place any amount I wanted to in any box. There were six to choose from: crime, drugs, police presence, weapons and domestic violence.

I felt that this was a good way to find out from the general public what they thought about the way the police were used, without divulging personal details.

Well done to the person who thought it up and put it into practice. Let us hope the police will be able to put into practice what we have asked for.

Could the public have the result of the findings?
