Further success for Pheonix Gymnasts

SIX PHOENIX squad gymnasts travelled to Baskervilles Gym Club in Bath on Sunday, November 11, to compete against clubs from all over the South of England.

Three girls were entered in the U-17 age group, this being their first experience of Levels Rules competition which is usually entered at the age of nine.

Of the three, Mikaela Wood came a commendable 5th overall, Harriet Crabtree gained 2nd place with Megan Thomas claiming 1st to bring the shield back to Wales.

A further three girls were entered into the U-9 and U-11 competition, both with large fields of 40 competitors.

Megan Richards narrowly missed a medal by 0.05 points but was awarded the top floor score of the day and Kate Galea was 6th overall.

Lia Thomas was the only Phoenix entry in the U-9 category, a creditable 10th position.
