A PENARTH hair salon has raised £300 in support of a fundraising event in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Blu Hair Design, of Washington Buildings, asked customers to either donate cash or buy a raffle ticket for prizes donated by other local businesses.

The money was raised in support of David Lerway and Rob Leering of Penarth and Ifty Kahn of Cardiff, who completed a gruelling five-day 210km foot race in Namibia, south west Africa, to raise money for the MS charity.

All the money raised will be spent locally by the Cardiff and Vale branch of the MS Society in support of local sufferers and their carers.

Alexis, Hayley and the team at Blu decided to support this event as David is well known to the salon and MS is a charity very close to their hearts.

Ifty, David and Rob thanked the salon for the support, and said the event was a hard challenge but worthwhile, especially after receiving such a great contribution towards their target of £3000. Blu would like to thank local businesses including The Haven, Hamptons, David Lush, Julie T and Guili Guili for donating prizes for the raffle.
