The Vale of Glamorgan Mayor hosted a coffee morning in aid of the National Coastwatch Institution at Nell's Point, which raised £540.00.
Nell's Point Station is manned by a team of trained volunteers, who keep watch over the Bristol Channel for the benefit of seafarers and coastal users and is funded solely by donations and money raised from events such as this coffee morning.
The station was the first one to be established on the Welsh coast, and was built with funding from the National Assembly.
