I AM pleased to see that a motion from the Independent's will be placed before the Vale full council on Monday suggesting we approach Bridgend council about a possible merger.
Sadly, due to a change in the date of the meeting I will not be able to make it as I will be away. My apologies have now been given.
However, I do feel that this would be a good move as it would be good for the Vale if we were to merge with Bridgend as it would put us on an equal footing.
I would certainly vote for this motion and I hope my colleagues at the Vale will do the same!
