LAST night I went to the cinema to go and see The BFG.
I am 13- years -old, and thought it was going to be a bit childish for my age, but to my surprise iI thoroughly enjoyed it.
It wasn’t just the story of a girl becoming friends with a giant and living happily ever after, but a story of how she got to like him and how he wasn’t like all the other mean giants. It was very funny, and sad at some points and is not too childish at all.
The actors and actresses all portrayed their roles beautifully. Mark Rylance (The BFG) was especially good and had the right voice for the giant. The CGI actually felt like they were real and the graphics were outstanding, and the music was magical.
John Williams (the composer of the Star Wars music) was just incredible at making you feel like it was real. You could tell by just the music what was going on even if you couldn’t see the screen.
I would definitely go and see it again as it was just marvellous.
