IT'S a shame the old Church School on Plassey Street is being knocked down.
With the new houses being built on the site of the Billy Banks, there are bound to be children living in the houses.
Surely the old school could have been turned into a two-floor building to educate the infants or juniors?
In any case, here is a photograph of more of the children and teenagers that were not in the previous photograph printed (Penarth Times, March 17), and I am one of them!
I'm pleased that I have this picture as I only have a few of me when I was a child.
I was one of ten children and my mother had a Brownie Box camera but the films cost money to buy and develop.
The photograph was taken 1953-1954.
