THIS is a copy of a letter that I have sent to Cllr Gordon Kemp, leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council: Dear Mr Kemp, I see that the council is working in Plassey Street, Penarth, extending corner pavements.
The objective of doing this is totally beyond my comprehension; what does it achieve? Fewer car parking spaces in an already over-crowded street!
I do appreciate that towards the end of each financial year unspent funds have to be spent, but a far greater need in Plassey Street is the road surface – which at the moment is best described as corrugated!
Why is the council not resurfacing it?
