The following cases were heard at Cardiff and Vale Magistrates' Court sitting at Cardiff:

Ian John Wakeham, aged 33, of Glebe Street, Penarth, pleaded guilty to possessing crack cocaine. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Thomas William Ainsley Bird, aged 22, of Marine Parade, Penarth, pleaded guilty to driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit. He was fined £120 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for 12 months. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Carly Morgan, aged 24, of Glastonbury Road, Sully, pleaded guilty to driving after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in her breath exceeded the prescribed limit. A community order was made and she was fined £300. She was disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence for 18 months and was ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 surcharge.

Robert George Hallsmith, aged 34, of Tuscan Close, Llandough, pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

William Derek Lane, aged 84, of Stanwell Road, Penarth, pleaded guilty to speeding. He was fined £100 and his licence endorsed with three points. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.
