PENARTH Ladies VETS, a netball club formed a little over three years ago for women over 40, finished their first Social League in a respectable second position.
Following a Tournament held on April 9 in Sophia Gardens to celebrate the culmination of the league, saw the VETS give the younger teams a run for their money.
Having won all three games in their pool, which included the eventual winners, the VETS went on to win the first of their play-off games against Creigiau Youth but unfortunately lost out in an exciting final to Cardiff United.
