DINAS Powys FC will continue to enjoy sponsorship from a Cardiff hotel, as Radisson Blu announced its support.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Radisson Blu hotel has sponsored Dinas Powys FC, and the hotel will be the main sponsor for the club during the 2016/17 season.

The sponsorship will include new kit and equipment for the senior level and first teams, and a contribution toward the club’s running and maintenance costs.

Dinas Powys FC has been running for over 40 years, and has gained Silver accreditation for its coaching and club standards. The club has 450 members, and includes senior teams, a ladies’ team, as well as a range of junior teams.

Rob Bloxham, chair of Dinas Powys FC, said, “We’re thrilled that the Radisson Blu Hotel is continuing its sponsorship. Our club is one of the largest football clubs in South Wales through membership, and we’ve had some fantastic successes this season.

“The ladies team are in the South Wales Women and Girls League Plate cup final, two of the Junior teams are in the Vale of Glamorgan League cup semi-finals, and one youth team player has recently represented Wales against England in the Wales Learning Disability Team. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we can keep offering our facilities to the people of Dinas Powys, and encourage a new generation of Welsh football stars.”

Jean-Marc Poumel, general manager of Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff, said, “We’re really pleased to continue our partnership with Dinas Powys FC. This club has been working hard for many years to provide people of all ages with the chance to experience football and keep fit.

“We are proud that our sponsorship offers the residents of Dinas Powys the chance to take part in grassroots football, and we would like to wish all of the teams the best of luck for the next season."
