THE ladies of Dinas Powys Golf Club competed in a range of competitions throughout June.
On Monday, June 6, was the Woodland Bowl Day 1 Par competition with first going to Ann Mahenthiralingam - 0, second Pat Gosling - 0 and third Sian Smith – 1 from Sue Bridle and Vicki Ellison.
On Tuesday, June 7, Woodland Bowl Day 2 Par competition with first going to Lisa Ryley - 0, second Ann Mahenthiralingam - 0 and third Carolyn Jones – 1 from Pat Gosling.
Competition nett results: first Ann Mahenthiralingam - 0, second Pat Gosling – 1 and third Sian Smith – 3.
On June 7 a nine hole stableford: first Angela Thomas 16 points, second Pam Warne and third Terry Unwin.
On June 14, an 18 hole stableford: first Sue Bridle 32 points, second Ann Mahenthiralingam 30 points and third Carole Reeves 28 points.
On June 21, Ladies Day 18 hole medal: first Vicki Ellison 98 – 29 = 69, on back nine from second Annie Blackburn 90 – 21 = 69 and third Lisa Ryley 87 – 15 = 72.
On the same day a Ladies Day 9 hole stableford was played: first Terry Unwin, second Kit Roblin and third Moyra Smith.
The longest drive and nearest the pin on the 18th hole was won by Carolyn Jones.
On June 28, President’s Prize Day 18 hole medal: first Sue Bridle 85 – 18 = 67, second Carolyn Jones 84 – 13 = 72 and third Ann Mahenthiralingam 85 – 13 = 72.
On the same day was the President’s Prize Day 9 hole medal: first Terri Unwin , second June Jones and third Angela Thomas.
The longest drive and nearest the pin on the 18th was won by Carolyn Jones.
