DANNY Powell completed the double by winning Sully Sailing Club's Summer Series followed by being the highest placed club member in the club's Open Regatta finishing second overall.

The summer series was run over 14 consecutive weeks and saw a total of 22 races held with 29 boats taking part over its duration. Danny came out on top in his Laser to win by a single point.

Second placed Neil Brookes, also sailing a Laser, failed to gain the two first place finishes he required on the final day of sailing to snatch the series from Danny’s grasp. Andrew Evans finished a very close 2.5 points further behind to take third in the series in his Topaz CX14 catamaran.

Jake Richardson topped the slow fleet finishing in fifth place overall.
