BOTH the first and second Sully Spartans teams won on Saturday against strong opposition to remain top of both of their respective divisions .
The second team were away at Abercynon and batting first slumped to 60 for 5 after 10 overs, but then Tibin with a superb 112 ably assisted by Sudhi 54 pushed the score to a fantastic 306 all out.
In response the home side went for it from the start and it was only for the bowling of Saneesh and Soban both with three wickets a piece that the victory was secured by 72 runs.
The first team hosted Porth in a lively encounter and after winning the toss elected to bat first.
Morgan regretted the decision from the start as Porth took wickets at ease and the Spartans were 56 for 5 and in trouble.
Sathish and Inam started to repair the damage and pushed the score to 141 before Inam was out for an excellent 41.
Morgan then joined Sathish and when the latter was out for an superb 60 including 9 fours and two sixes the Spartans were 214 for 7.
The last three wickets went down for seven runs as Morgan remained on not out 27 with the final score on 221.
In response the away side were in trouble from the start with Inam taking two for 15 off 6 and Morgan two for 21 off 9
Saeed Ali and Andrew Davies both also took two wickets a piece as Santosh took one wicket, coupled with a run out which meant the Spartans were victors by 100 runs.
